As you will be aware the government announced on the 4th January 2021 a third national lockdown in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Early years settings remain low risk environments for children and staff and continue to have the lowest confirmed rates of coronavirus of all age groups. We were pleased therefore, that the government confirmed that Early Years settings would remain open allowing our full services to be operational. For more information regarding the governments rationale for keeping Early Years settings open, please follow this link: https://www.eyalliance.org.uk/news/2021/01/dfe-provides-update-rationale-behind-decision-keep-early-years-providers-open
Eligibility to attend;
All pre-school aged children are free to attend both their pre-school and extended services sessions as per normal.
Children attending St Andrews Lower School at this time, are also able to use our wrap around care services (breakfast, after school and holiday clubs).
Many of you have understandably had questions relating to your child’s pre-school place and also in relation to funding or fees.
We are pleased Central Bedfordshire Council have confirmed today at 4.00pm, as an exception to their normal requirements in these unprecedented times, that they will continue to fund pre-school places. Therefore we can confirm that we are able to hold funded places open for your child until February half term, even if you choose not send them.
Invoices for this Spring Term 2021 (Jan-March) will be raised and issued shortly. If you choose to keep your child at home, in line with our normal terms and conditions fees remain chargeable. We do understand that these are incredibly difficult times for all families, so please do speak with us if you have any concerns relating to payments. We would be happy to discuss this further.
If you wish to permanently cancel your child’s pre-school sessions, as stated in our terms and conditions, you are required to provide 6 weeks’ notice. If you choose to proceed in this manner please email email@example.com so that in invoice can be raised for the 6 weeks’ notice rather than the full term.
With reference to wrap around care sessions, as a setting that is committed to supporting the families who use its services and in order to endeavour to be flexible, if you choose not to send your child credit notes will be issued for this half term.
If you have any questions relating to this information please do not hesitate to contact us.
